Description
This is a beautiful and rare Heuer Split Second Rattrapante Stopwatch ref 522.413 with minute and hour counter from the 1980's in great all original condition. Rattrapante means it has two seconds hands for the chrono counter; on top of the normal chrono seconds, you have an additional one, that can be paused while the first one keeps running, and then reactivated, at which time it immediately jumps back to the same position as the first running seconds hand. Rattrapante is French for "catch up".
The architecture of this watch is complex yet simple: you have a central stack of 3 hands: the shortest at the bottom is the minutes hand (which you read on the central red 60 minutes cointer), and then double seconds hands on top of it, a blued and red. Then at 6h there's a window with 12-hours disc.
The stopwatch has signs of use, the plexiglass crystal has marks. If desired I can get it replaced or gently polished before shipping out.
It measures 58,5mm diameter. Service history unknown, but it's working well. If desired can get serviced before shipping out
